GAYLE AND MARTY GALBRAITH GENEALOGY

Notes for Oliver Galbraith

Note from Jim Nerone:
I did find this notice from an old Harrisburg,IL newspaper:" 9 Feb 1916 (Oak Grove), This community was greatly shocked to hear of the death of Uncle Oliver Galbraith. He died Friday night and was buried at the Old Rough(sic) cemetery Sunday morning." He doesn't have a tombstone at that cemetery so I guess it was lost or vandalized, or maybe he never had one to begin with.

The following is from the paper "The Pioneer Family GALBRAITH":

Oliver Galbraith another brother of Henry Sr.. I saw him once when I was kid. The only one of the family I ever saw in my recollection. He was rather small, stocky man smooth shaved and had a ruddy complection. He was pointed out to me at a public auction sale. He was standing alone - Galbraith Fashion watching proceedings. I knew only Carroll of his childern. This family lived in the West End community
